Burn the Fat
Feed the Muscle Review
Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle, an ebook by
former body building champion Tom Venuto, is one of the
best Fat loss ebooks I've read. It's not a fad diet, and
it's not a get bulked up body building handbook. Rather,
it's more of a life right, eat right concept, all tied up
into an easy to read (but long) book.
A quick note about Tom Venuto
Tom isn't just another fly by night fitness author. He's
published more then 200 articles in popular fitness magazines
and websites. He's been involved in the body building industry
since 1983, and has competed since 1988. Tom Venuto has also
actively been a personal trainer and nutritionist. You can read

The Simple Man or Womens Guide to Fat Loss
Burn the Fat has been written as the laymen s guide to
getting lean and staying lean. There's no technical jargon,
scientific terms, or words you might need a dictionary to
understand. Tom Venuto wrote the book with you and me in mind.
The average Joe or Jane that wanted the hard facts and a
step-by-step program to get lean.
Here's what he says in the Preface of Burn the Fat Feed the
Muscle:
"This book was written for you as a
simple, yet detailed instruction manual. You get
step-by-step
instructions: Do this, don’t do that, eat this, don’t eat
that, and so on. This
is not just an informational book – it is a complete system
that will take you from where you are now to where you want to be
– in the shortest possible period of
time."
If you're a body builder looking for guidance on how to bulk
up and eat for maximum performance, keep searching this isn't
the hand book for you. If you're 10, 20, 50 pounds over weight,
want to get in shape and make lifestyle changes that will have
a lasting effect then keep reading.

What's on the Inside of Burn The Fat?
The book is broken down into 17 chapters, each one teaching
you a new piece of the fat loss puzzle. A point that Tom beats
home through the whole book is that this book is about Fat loss
not Weight loss. He wants to teach you to lose fat while
building lean muscle, not just dropping pounds for the sake of
losing weight.
I won't detail each chapter but here are the highlight from
Tom Venuto's burn the fat:
Goal Setting: This might seem
like a strange topic for a fat loss book, but it's important.
When ever we're setting out on a long path to results we should
have a written understanding of where we want to be. There will
be days when following this plan won't be as easy as others, so
it's good to know where you want to be. Tom dedicates an entire
chapter to setting your goals and achieving them in terms of
fat loss, body fat percentage, and personal fitness.
Education and Tracking
Performance: The next several chapters are
focused on how our body gains and loses fat, our body
compositions, metabolic rates, and the math (yes math but it's
not technical) of losing body fat. This section is really the
turning point for most readers. It gives you the knowledge to
understand why we gain and lose fat. This makes the rest of the
book make complete sense when you start making changes to your
daily eating habits.
Eating: My Favorite section,
the next chapters are all about meal frequency, what to eat
(good fats bad fats, carbs, and proteins), and a complete
chapter on the Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle eating plan. This
isn't a one size fits all plan, rather Tom gives you the
knowledge needed to create your own meals and menus to get
effective fat loss results.
Exercise: The last section of
the book covers cardiovascular exercise and workouts for fat
loss. Note how this is the last section of the book, which goes
along with Tom's philosophy that our eating plays a bigger role
in our body composition then our exercise. None the less, this
section of the book is great.
Tom is big on what he calls H.I.I.T. (high intensity
interval training) for fat loss. So instead of just going hard
on a stationary bike or treadmill for 30 minutes he provides
very detailed instructions on doing 30-120 second intervals on
intense training alternating with 30-120 seconds of rest. This
is a very effective way to burn fat.
